5-year-old students studying at Bolu Donators Foundation Kindergarten had an unforgettable experience by visiting the laboratories and classrooms of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Poultry Breeding. On this meaningful trip, children spent educational and enjoyable moments in touch with nature.
Throughout the trip, the little ones watched with great excitement the moment the chicks hatched from the eggs in the incubators. While observing the hatching process of chicks, the children witnessed the beginning of life and also received basic information about poultry farming from faculty members.
During the event, the children's curious looks and joy did not go unnoticed. Department members answered the children's questions and helped them gain awareness of the functioning of nature. Students, who took a close interest in the chicks, experienced the love of animals and awareness of responsibility together by touching them and getting information about their nutrition.
Head of Department Prof. Dr. Handan Eser emphasized that such activities increase children's interest in scientific processes and contribute significantly to their awareness of nature, and stated that similar trips will continue in the future. Parents and teachers were happy to observe that children internalized what they learned through such experiences.
This trip, in addition to being an unforgettable memory for the little students, proved once again how enjoyable it is to explore science in a fun way.
