The Academic Council Meeting of the Faculty of Agriculture at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University was held with the participation of university administration and academics.

The program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by protocol speeches, a faculty information presentation, the presentation of appreciation certificates, and an awards ceremony.

During the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Mustafa İMREN, the Vice Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Aydın HİM, and the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa ALİŞARLI, delivered their speeches. Following this, the Vice Dean, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi A. Sami KOCA, provided an informative presentation about the faculty's academic activities.

Academics who served in the previous administration of the faculty were presented with appreciation certificates for their dedicated work. In this context, Prof. Dr. Vahdettin ÇİFTÇİ, Prof. Dr. Mustafa İMREN, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nezih OKUR were awarded appreciation certificates by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa ALİŞARLI.

Academic Achievement Awards Were Presented
During the awards ceremony, plaques were presented to faculty members who stood out with their academic achievements:

• Prof. Dr. Göksel ÖZER, Faculty Member of the Department of Plant Protection, who published the most international articles within a year,
• Prof. Dr. Müttalip GÜNDOĞDU, Faculty Member of the Department of Horticultural Plants, who ranked in the top 1.6% of the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list announced by Stanford University,
• Prof. Dr. Vahdettin ÇİFTÇİ, Faculty Member of the Department of Field Crops, who ranked first in the faculty's academic incentive points for the year 2024, received their awards from Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa ALİŞARLI.

Additionally, faculty members whose projects were supported by TÜBİTAK in 2025 were also rewarded:

• Prof. Dr. Şenol YILDIZ, Faculty Member of the Department of Plant Protection, who received support for a TÜBİTAK 1001 project,
• Dr. Öğr. Üyesi A. Sami KOCA, Faculty Member of the Department of Plant Protection, who received support for a TÜBİTAK 1002 project,
• Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Hayriye SOYTÜRK, Faculty Member of the Department of Poultry Breeding, who received support for a TÜBİTAK 1002 project, received their awards from Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aydın HİM.

Furthermore, for the dedicated efforts in the faculty journal International Journal of Agricultural and Wildlife Sciences, which is indexed in important academic databases such as TR Dizin, EBSCO, CAB Abstract, and CrossRef, Prof. Dr. Hakan KİBAR, the Chief Editor, was presented with an award by Dean Prof. Dr. Mustafa İMREN.

The 2024-2025 Academic Council Meeting of the Faculty of Agriculture was an important gathering for recognizing the achievements of academics and evaluating the future of the faculty. The meeting concluded with thanks extended to all participating academics.
